Holiday Food & Gift Festival
November 9-11th at the Oregon Convention Center. This festival is one of the largest holiday celebrations in the Northwest, drawing thousands of attendees annually who happily complete their holiday shopping early. With hundreds & hundreds of exhibitors the festival will provide shoppers with one-of-a-kind gifts that cannot be found anywhere else. Featuring art, crafts, jewelry, clothing, wood, music, photography, toys, Christmas décor, and much more makes this a gift buyer’s delight. There is a large gourmet food area where you can sample and purchase a wide range of food items including tea, chocolates, pasta, soups, dips, meats, coffee, jams, shortbread, salsas, oils & vinegars, honey, sauces and many more delights!
Gorge Wine Weekend
November 9-11th at various location in the Gorge. For one delightful weekend this celebration brings together wine lovers, winemakers, winegrowers and chefs to celebrate the finale of the season - the completion of harvest. On Friday attend the kickoff soiree- ticket price includes complimentary tastings, hors-d'oeuvres, and a commemorative wine glass. Win big in the silent auction and explore the Gorge wine region all weekend long. Saturday the celebration extends all over the gorge, with many different wineries participating with their own special parties and events. Sunday morning ends the weekend with a Sparkling Brunch- enjoy 8 sparkling wines from different wineries in the Gorge, each paired with a delightful 4-course brunch.
Portland Book Festival
November 10th at the Portland Art Museum. The Portland Book Festival will feature over 100 authors presenting on 9 stages, pop-up readings throughout the Portland Art Museum galleries, and 13 writing workshops. The festival includes activities for readers of all ages, an extensive book fair with over 80 vendors, local food trucks, and partner events all weekend long.
Northwest Food & Wine Festival
November 10th at the Oregon Convention Center. In its 13th year, the legendary Northwest Food and Wine Festival returns as the definitive wine festival in Portland with a targeted half-day wine and food celebration. The festival brings the highest quality regional wines, spirits, beers, foods and prominent chefs and restaurants. It’s designed to present a rich and rewarding experience for wine lovers, gourmet food enthusiasts and industry experts. For all involved, it offers a great opportunity for direct conversation.
2018 Olive Oil Festival
November 16-18th at Red Ridge Farms. Experience Italian tradition right in the heart of Oregon wine country at Durant Olive Mill’s Olio Nuovo Festival - November 16, 17 & 18. At this celebration of freshly milled extra virgin olive oil taste Olio Nuovo on classic bruschetta alongside Durant Vineyards estate wine. Wild Arts Festival
November 17-18th at Montgomery Park. Join the Portland Audubon Society at the 2018 Wild Arts Festival – the Northwest's premier show and sale of nature-related art and books. All proceeds support the conservation, environmental education and wildlife rehabilitation work of the Portland Audubon Society. Featuring a silent auction, bird shows, food and wine, this event is great for the whole family!
Tree Lighting Ceremony
November 23rd at Pioneer Courthouse Square. The day after Thanksgiving, thousands of Portlanders will gather at the Square to celebrate the lighting of the spectacular 75ft Douglas-fir tree provided by Stimson Lumber Company. With a big tree, over 14,000 colorful lights and Portland’s largest community sing-a-long, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
Holiday Ale Festival
November 28th- December 2nd at Pioneer Courthouse Square. Held in the heart of downtown Portland, the Holiday Ale Festival keeps attendees warm and dry under a large clear top tent that covers Pioneer Courthouse Square while allowing for views of the city lights. Gas heaters create a cozy ambience under the boughs of one of the region's largest decorated Christmas trees. More than 50 potent winter ales are featured at this year's event, all of which are created specifically to bring warmth and cheer to the holiday season. These aren't beers you'll find in the supermarket - our brewers have put together special recipes just for the Holiday Ale Festival. From Belgians and Barleywines to Stouts and Sours, these beers are rich, robust and full of complex flavors.
