Portland Cinco De Mayo Festival
May 4-6 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The Cinco De Mayo Festival kicks off a summer of fun festivals down at waterfront park. Enjoy live entertainment, authentic food, carnival rides, family fun, and much more! The event is sponsored by Portland Guadalajara Sister City Association.
Spring Garden Fair
May 5-6 at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds. The Spring Garden Fair is so much fun and has literally everything you could want- great plants for sale, a master gardener on hand to answer all your questions, pots for sale along with free planting, and more! They have more than just shopping too- a food court, coffee bar, live entertainment, and demonstrations and classes all day long. I am re-doing my garden and can't wait to go stock up!
Mid-Century Modern Tour
May 12 at various Portland locations. This self-guided, driving tour allows participants to explore five Mid-Century Modern homes, designed by famed architect John Storrs, at their own pace. Participants discover unique interiors, explore imaginatively designed outdoor living areas, and have a rare chance to gain an intimate view of Mid-Century Modern living as envisioned by a master.
Doggie Dash
May 12 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The Doggie Dash is sponsored by the Oregon Humane Society and all of the funds raised are used to fight animal cruelty, heal injured pets, and find homes for pets. Bring your dog (or find one to share!!) and join in a walk or a run with other animal lovers. I'm going with my friend and bringing her sweet pup Henry (pictured) and I'm so excited to hang out with Henry on his 1st birthday and see all of the other cuties!
Mt. Tabor Art Walk
May 19-20 at Mt. Tabor. Now in its thirteenth year, the Mt Tabor Art Walk is a Portland, Oregon tradition. This juried show and sale runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Itβs a great opportunity to see quality visual art and meet artists in their studios and homes. Diverse media are represented including photography, painting, ceramics, sculpture, prints, metal arts, photography, glass, jewelry, book arts, and mosaics.
