My friends always have the best ideas for their birthdays, so naturally one planned High Tea at the Heathman as a birthday celebration with our group of girlfriends. I absolutely adore tea and the many treats that come with it. Growing up I was obsessed with Eloise (the children's book series) who lived at the Plaza, so my first high tea experience was on a trip to New York, where we had tea at the Plaza. It was definitely an unforgettable experience, and I was so excited to experience it again with my best friends.

The Heathman Hotel in Portland is known for their tea, and it is especially popular at Christmas time, when the hotel is decked out in decorations and you can enjoy your tea next to a blazing fire. Our experience was on one of the last days of summer, but it was definitely still every bit as beautiful!

The food was rich and delicious, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating to our dietary restrictions (vegetarian and extreme nut allergy). They catered to us perfectly and made sure our glass was never empty.
