Portland City Grill

I've always loved Portland City Grill, a fantastic restaurant 30 floors up in Downtown Portland. Their menu features classic NW cuisine with a slight Asian touch, and everything on their menu is delicious and perfectly prepared.

David and I celebrated our 1st anniversary this January, and as part of our celebrations we decided to go to Portland City Grill for happy hour. We shared the Herb-Parmesan fries, which came with just enough spice to compliment the garlic-parmesan aioli. David had the Grilled New York Steak Sandwich, which he raved about for days. Coming from a restaurant that specializes in steak I would expect nothing less. I had the Fresh Asian Spring Rolls, which was the perfect compliment to my delicious drink.

I had the Champagne Supernova to drink, which is one of my favorite cocktails in Portland. It is a delicious blend of champagne and strawberry puree, making it crisp and fruity without being overly sweet. David, being a big whiskey fan, had the Portland City Streetcar, a tasty spin on the more traditional sidecar.

Although we stuck with small portions that evening, some of my other favorites at PCG are the Charred Vegetable and Avocado Rice Rolls and the Stir Fry Tofu and Petite Vegetables. Not being a carnivore I haven't had the opportunity to try too many dishes, but I know that I always leave satisfied.
