Friday Five
The five things bringing me joy, comfort and happiness this week.
Fun Bedding
One of my favorite things about being a Real Estate Agent is getting to check out so many homes. I love interior spaces, decorating, and home decor, so seeing so many great examples of how other people decorate is very inspiring to me. This week I viewed a home in the Pearl District of Portland with this super fun bedding. I love the mixture of the luxe fur and the interesting headboard with the fun, quirky bedding. I need something like this!
Spring Flowers
Even though I am in love with Portland and so blessed to live here, I have a confession to make: I hate bad weather. I love sunshine, flowers, getting to spend time outdoors, and everything that comes with warmer weather. I'm incredibly happy that spring is almost upon us, and even more excited for the summer to come! Something that helps me feel happy all year long is keeping fresh flowers in the house, but it is even better during spring!
Rachel's Ginger Beer
One spot I always have to hit up when going to Seattle is Rachel's Ginger Beer. They have 10 different flavors of non-alcoholic ginger beer, which they turn into a wide variety of cocktails, even slushies! They also have fun bar food and a hip atmosphere that you could hang out in all night (except for the fact of the crowds!). Lucky for me, and everyone in Portland, Rachel's Ginger Beer is opening a location in SE this September. I can't wait to check out the drinks, as well as the attached Torta bar!
Leesa Mattress
David and I had been planning on getting a new mattress for months, but in January we finally decided to take the plunge! We both struggle with decision making, so I think the amount of mattresses out there was intimidating. David had heard about the different mattress start-ups, such as Leesa and Casper, where the quality is high but the costs are low due to the fact that they are not sold in stores, cutting out the middleman. My best friend has a Leesa mattress, so luckily we were able to test it out beforehand. After comparing what felt like endless different mattresses, it was clear that the Leesa was the winner!! Now, after sleeping on it for over a month, we are incredibly happy with our purchase. We've even converted another couple to get a Leesa too! Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
Spinach & Artichoke Frittata
When I'm feeling lazy and want an easy meal, one of my go-to's is always a frittata. They are quick, easy to make, relatively healthy, and you can use pretty much whatever you have on hand. Here is an easy recipe for you to add your favorite meats, veggies and cheeses to. Bon Appétit!
Ingredients:
8 eggs
Any extra ingredients you want!
Spices and seasonings as needed
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Pre-cook any necessary veggies & meats- they won't cook much in the frittata.
Combine eggs, additions and seasonings and pour in 9 inch pie tin.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the middle come out clean.
Enjoy!
