To Do: January 2018
Happy new year!! Here's to hoping your 2018 is full of lots of success, fun and happiness. Below are some of the most fun events happening in the Portland area this month!
Free Museum Day
January 4 at the Portland Art Museum. The first Thursday of every month allows free museum access as well! I love visiting the Portland Art Museum because they always have great special exhibits, and amazing standard art as well. Right now there is an animation exhibit that David has been wanting to see, so we are excited to go ASAP!
Portland Winterhawks Hockey
Home Games January 13, 14, 17, 19, 21, 28, 31 at Veterans Memorial Colosseum or the Moda Center. There is something really unique about going to a hockey game- the fans are wild, the game is fast paced, and the energy is always nice and high. Portland is lucky to have such a great hockey team, but it is easy to forget that tickets are inexpensive and right in the middle of town! I definitely recommend trying to get out to at least one game this season!
Bourbon & Bacon Fest
January 13 at OMSI after dark. OMSI is always amazing, but there is something extra special about OMSI after dark. There are no kids allowed (sorry little ones!) and OMSI serves alcohol to the over 21 crowd in attendance. At this special OMSI After Dark you can enjoy samples of delicious bourbon from local breweries, and of course lots of bacon treats! Buy your tickets ASAP, because this event always sells out!
Japanese New Year
January 28 at Portland State University. Enjoy the culture of Japan at the Annual New Year Celebration!! Featuring food, drinks, demonstrations, activities and shows, this event is the perfect way to to enjoy the new year and have an amazing celebration!
