Spring is almost here!! Get into the spirit with one (or all!) of these fun events happening in Portland this month.

Cider Rite of Spring

March 10 at Leftbank Annex. Cider Rite of Spring is a celebration of the blossoming Northwest Cider industry— an annual cider tasting event welcoming the return of spring, featuring over 100 unique ciders served by 35 different cidermakers and cidery representatives only from the PNW.

Winter Blues Music Festival

March 10 at the Milwaukie Elks Lodge. Music Festivals tend to dwindle during the winter months, but the organizers of the Winter Blues Fest wanted music lovers to be able to enjoy great Blues music all year long! The event is family friendly and benefits local charities such as the Oregon Food Bank (make sure to bring 6 cans of food!) and the Youth Music Project.

Portland Shamrock Run & Fitness Festival

March 16-18 at the Oregon Convention Center (Fitness Fair) and the Portland Waterfront. Featuring everything from a 1k Kids Leprachan Lap to a half marathon for the whole family, the Shamrock Run is one of the most fun races in Portland. The Fitness Fair on Friday is a great way to pick up some cool race gear in preparation for the runs on Sunday! Even if you aren't a runner the events are still great ways to get in the holiday spirit and see all of the fun outfits and antics!

Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

March 23- April 29 at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn. The tulip festival is such a fantastic way to start spring- the flowers are absolutely gorgeous, the weather is usually beautiful, and there are tons of events such as hay rides, pony rides, great food and more! The photo opportunities are reason enough to go- gotta get those gorgeous Instagram pictures!

Toast: The Original Artist Spirits Tasting

March 24 at the Tiffany Center. The 8th Annual Toast event is an opportunity to taste from a wide variety of over 120 spirits from across the Northwest, the Country and the Globe. Whether your spirit preference is Whiskey, Rum, Gin, Vodka, Brandy, Liqueurs - or even unique spirits like Absinthe and Aquavit - the estimated 50 distillers and producers at TOAST will have it covered. TOAST allows small distillers and producers to showcase their handcrafted spirits, while providing an opportunity for the public to experience the diversity and quality of craft spirits from Oregon and beyond.

Rabbit Romp

March 31 at the Oregon Zoo. Free with zoo admission, Rabbit Romp features candy egg hunts every 10-15 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Children ages 3 to 10 are invited to hunt for compostable "plastic" eggs, candy and prizes. Toddlers 2 and under can participate in a candy hunt organized especially for them at the classrooms by Bear Walk Café. Rabbit Romp festivities also include pettable animals at the Family Farm, games and photo opportunities.
