Get ready for summer with flowers, cider, hot air balloons and more!
Festival of Flowers
June 1-12, Pioneer Courthouse Square. Festival of Flowers has been one of Portland’s most renowned festivals in Portland’s Living Room for 30 years. Each year, the Square works with a local artist or design firm to create a masterpiece of vibrant color utilizing nearly 20,000 flowers and other plant material.In partnership with Portland’s own award-winning landscape architecture firm, Walker Macy, Pioneer Courthouse Square is pleased to announce this year’s Festival of Flowers design: oFISHially GORGEous.This floral installation, comprised of nearly 20,000 flowers, ornamental grass and Douglas fir seedlings, will bring elements of the Columbia River Gorge into the city and encourage visitors to become immersed in the landscape.
Portland Fruit Beer Festival
June 8-10, 7th & E. Burnside. Portland Fruit Beer Festival is the world's premiere showcase for fruit beer and ciders. The 8th annual Portland Fruit Beer Festival is an all-ages friendly event with a wide representation of more than fifty fruit beers and ciders, plus non alcoholic drinks and incredible food vendors, killer DJ's and other activities.
Midsummer Festival
June 9, Oaks Park. Join your friends and family in SE Portland to ring in the 90th year of this historic, regional tradition that occurs each June. Scandinavian roots are not required to celebrate Midsummer. It continues to be a fun, family friendly, and important day with centuries-old traditions and everyone is invited! Scandinavians in traditional dress will greet our thousands of visitors. Food and crafts are available all day from local Nordic clubs, vendors, and artists. Two stages of entertainment and a beer garden promise continuous entertainment with live music and dancing, all with a Nordic flair. Awards and honors, including The Scandinavian of the Year Award, will be given on this day, and the Midsummer Pole will be raised with much excitement and pomp, followed by festive dancing and singing!
Portland Pride Festival & Parade
June 16-17, Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The Portland Pride Festival includes food vendors and exhibitors both days at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Portland Pride Parade begins 11 a.m. Sunday at NW Park Avenue & W. Burnside Street. The event recommends an $8 donation, but they will not turn anyone away.
Festival of Balloons
June 22-24 at Cook Park in Tigard. The hot air balloons are definitely the featured attraction of the Festival, but ... it’s MORE than balloons! The Festival is a place for families and friends to gather, play and relax. Join the party in the pre-dawn hours as approximately 20 hot air balloons launch into the morning sky (weather permitting). Spend the afternoon shopping at the craft and vendor booths, eating great food from local food vendors, and enjoying thrilling Funtastic carnival rides and games. Don’t miss the Festival of Cars presented by Landmark Ford Lincoln on Sunday. Of course, it wouldn’t be the Festival of Balloons without the ever impressive Night Glow presented by Walmart on Friday and Saturday nights (weather permitting); the Rogue Beer Garden, live music on the Main Stage presented by Grocery Outlet- King City; 6v6 soccer tournament, Twilight 5K Run/Walk on Saturday night, and a whole lot more!
World Naked Bike Ride
June 23, Cathedral Park. Join thousands of naked bike riders (clothed is fine too!) as they ride the streets of Portland to highlight the vulnerability of cyclists everywhere and protest society’s dependence on pollution-based transport. The event also celebrates body positivity and promotes sustainability and supporting the environment. It is free, but donations are encouraged.
Clackamas County Lavender Festival
June 23-24 at Oregon Lavender Farm in Oregon City. Celebrate the lavender plant and sustainable agriculture at this weekend festival featuring live music, vendors, food, drinks, demonstrations, face painting, wreath making and more!
Portland Cider Summit
June 29-30 at The Fields Neighborhood Park. This 21+ festival features over 150 ciders, lots of food options, live music, and a special lounge just for pups!
