David and I are both Jewish, so neither of us grew up having Christmas trees every year. David never had them, and occasionally I could convince my family to get us one, but usually we just had a small table top tree. When I lived with roommates we would sometimes get a tree, but since living with David we’ve talked about having one but never actually done it.

Last year, after Christmas was over, we got a great deal on a pre-lit artificial tree, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to put it up and decorate it this year!! Even though we are both Jewish we will celebrate both Hannukah and Christmas, since we aren’t particularly religious. I just love the Christmas decorations and I love a Christmas tree!

Since I’m starting from scratch with decorations it has been so fun to look at trees and plan/shop for what my tree will look like. This year I’m sure I’ll go somewhat basic (probably mostly gold and white) but am hoping to do more trees in future years! Some of the trees seen here are so fun, some are quirky, some are traditional, but they are all GORGEOUS!!
