My 9 Favorite Restaurants in Beaverton
The food scene in Beaverton has picked up significantly over the last few years, and downtown Beaverton is now a culinary hot spot with restaurants and cuisine to please pretty much any palette! My list below includes restaurants all over Beaverton, but 5/9 are in a few block radius in downtown Beaverton.
Keep in mind while looking over the list that I am a vegetarian, which influences which restaurants I’m including. I’m sure I’m leaving some amazing food off of my list for that reason, or simply because there are so many options that I couldn’t think of them all! But if you are looking for great food in Beaverton, there is definitely something you will love on this list. Enjoy!
Cornell Farm Cafe
8212 SW Barnes Road, Portland OR 97225.
This is my favorite brunch spot in Beaverton! The food is excellent, they have great coffee and hot drinks, and the atmosphere is fantastic. It is located in Cornell Farms Nursery, so there is lots to see before or after you stop for food.
BG’s Food Cartel
4250 SW Rose Biggi Avenue, Beaverton OR 97005
If you are going out with a group BG's Food Cartels (an outdoor food cart pod) is my top recommendation! They have a fantastic variety so everyone can get exactly what they are craving. It is a super clean space with lots of seating, an open area for kids to play, and even dedicated spots for dogs! Plus they have a bar with beer and wine and an indoor seating area.
Afuri
12555 SW 1st Street, Beaverton OR 97005
I’ll admit that I’m not the biggest ramen fan ever (vegetarian ramen isn’t always amazing), but I make an exception for the hazelnut tantan from Afuri! Everyone I know loves the ramen in general, plus they offer sushi, great appetizers, and tasty cocktails.
Ate-Oh-Ate
4570 SW Watson Blvd, Beaverton OR 97005
Ate-Oh-Ate took over one of our favorite Beaverton spots, Big’s Chicken. While the food is very different, luckily it is still delicious! This is a small local chain of Hawaiian restaurants with great macaroni salad and some delicious vegetarian options, which can be rare at a Hawaiian place!
Top Burmese Bistro Royale
12655 SW 1st Street, Beaverton OR 97005
I wasn’t sure what to expect from Burmese food before visiting Top Burmese, but I’m now a huge fan! The food kind of reminds me of a fusion of Thai and Indian food, and it is delicious. Some of my favorite dishes are the Green Tea Leaf Salad, any of the vegetarian curries, and the Burmese Gold Samosas. The atmosphere of the restaurant is super fun too!
Breakside Brewery
12675 SW 1st Street, Beaverton OR 97005
Breakside doesn’t actually serve its own food but they have six food carts outside with delicious options like Farmer and the Beast (burgers), Let’s Roll PDX (sushi burritos), and, my absolute favorite, Tito’s Taquitos. Breakside is a fun option for a group because of the varied food options and the large outdoor sitting area. On warm days Breakside gets super busy with people enjoying a great beer with friends. Kids and dogs are welcome too!
Frank’s Noodle House
15950 SW Regatta Lane, Beaverton OR 97006
The Chinese hand pulled noodles at Frank’s Noodle House are probably my all time favorite noodles ever! When we need a casual meal for a group Frank’s is always a crowd pleaser. You get lots of food, great leftovers, and there is something for everyone. I will admit I have never eaten here in person, only gotten it to-go, but it makes the perfect take out Chinese food!
Lazy Days Brewing Company
4505 SW Watson Avenue, Beaverton OR 97005
Lazy Days took over the space, and the food menu, of the sadly departed Ex Novo Brewing in downtown Beaverton. I’m sad Ex Novo is gone, but I’m glad their Detroit style pizza remains!! The thick crust square pizza is so delicious - a single slice is pretty much enough for a meal, especially if you get some salad to go with it. The atmosphere is a fun bar vibe, the beer is great, and it is in a great location!
Westgate
3800 SW Cedar Hills Blvd Suite 300-D, Beaverton OR 97005
Westgate is a fun restaurant and bar with a huge tap list and the largest bourbon collection in the state! They also have a bottle shop attached so you can take some new drinks home. The food is dressed up bar food - lots of (amazing) sandwich options, burgers, and entrees like steaks and some pastas. They also have a room with pool tables which can be fun. I will say they don’t take reservations and there is often a wait, and the service can leave something to be desired. But, the food makes up for it!
