The Perfect Sangria
Sangria is usually my go-to drink when throwing a party for a group, especially when you aren't sure of everyone's alcohol preferences. Some people like wine, some like beer, some like whiskey or vodka or rum... there are too many choices! A good sangria appeals to many different palates, is easy to make, and is delicious. This recipe includes champagne, which gives the perfect amount of bubbles. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of white wine (my favorite is pinot grigio, and I suggest something on the drier side)
- 1 bottle of champagne
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 lemon (just the juice)
- 1 orange
- a variety of berries, whatever is in season (I used strawberries, raspberries and blueberries)
Directions:
- Mix pineapple juice, white wine and the juice of 1 lemon in a pitcher
- Wash all of the fruit, peel the orange, and add to the pitcher
- Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours
- Before serving, add in champagne and mix well
- To serve, spoon fruit into each glass, then pour liquid over top and garnish with fruit
