I do most of my crafting with my good friend Lauren, so when she saw that West Elm was teaming with the Paper Source to put on a paper flower making class we both knew we had to go. West Elm had set up tables all over their Pearl District store and had packets of materials and instructions distributed to all of the guests. They provided light refreshments, and the staff was on hand to give advice and act as good cheerleaders for us.

As a vegetarian, it can sometimes be difficult to go to more "traditional" date night spots. Many romantic, upscale places feature a very meat heavy menu with only one vegetarian option, if any. Although living in Portland means that many of the restaurants here offer more selection and more options for vegetarians, sometimes I want to be able to go into a restaurant and order ANYTHING off the menu, without having to make substitutions. The list below includes my favorite restaurants in Portland that are strictly vegetarian, or feature a separate vegetarian menu. Going to plays and musicals used to be one of my favorite things to do with my family. My grandparents lived in LA, and whenever I would visit we would try to attend at least one or two shows. Some of my favorites growing up were the Lion King, Wicked and Annie. I haven't been in way too long though, so it came as an amazing surprise when my mom got us tickets for Book of Mormon for my birthday! That was this October, and I was so excited waiting for the night of the show to come January 23rd!

Having Marshall has been such an amazing experience, and I can't wait to spend many more years with him. He is sweet, loving, fun and adventurous. I am able to take him on car rides and to the office, and he loves meeting new people. He wakes us up in the morning with cuddles and loud purrs, and keeps us entertained in the evenings with his wild games. I love him more than I could ever imagine!

Every Tuesday Realtor's with new homes put them open on Tuesdays for other agents to see new listings and get a chance to socialize and network with other agents. It is a great chance to look at homes you might not otherwise get to see, preview homes for a client, and spend time with the other agents in my office!

It’s kind of sad to say, but even though I have grown up in Portland and lived here for most of my life, I have never actually gone on the OHSU tram! The tram takes riders from the South Waterfront area of Portland up to OHSU, or Oregon Health and Science University. OHSU is both a hospital and school, with different locations scattered throughout Portland, but the main building is up in the SW Hills. It employs many people, most of whom take the tram every day to get to work (there is barely any parking on the hill).
