Read MoreI do most of my crafting with my good friend Lauren, so when she saw that West Elm was teaming with the Paper Source to put on a paper flower making class we both knew we had to go. West Elm had set up tables all over their Pearl District store and had packets of materials and instructions distributed to all of the guests. They provided light refreshments, and the staff was on hand to give advice and act as good cheerleaders for us.

Many romantic, upscale places feature a very meat heavy menu with only one vegetarian option, if any. Although living in Portland means that many of the restaurants here offer more selection and more options for vegetarians, sometimes I want to be able to go into a restaurant and order ANYTHING off the menu, without having to make substitutions. The list below includes my favorite restaurants in Portland that are strictly vegetarian, or feature a separate vegetarian menu. These are date night spots, so some of my favorites for lunch or a more casual meal aren't included. Enjoy!

My grandparents lived in LA, and whenever I would visit we would try to attend at least one or two shows. Some of my favorites growing up were the Lion King, Wicked and Annie. I haven't been in way too long though, so it came as an amazing surprise when my mom got us tickets for Book of Mormon for my birthday! That was this October, and I was so excited waiting for the night of the show to come January 23rd!

Read MoreHaving Marshall has been such an amazing experience, and I can't wait to spend many more years with him. He is sweet, loving, fun and adventurous. I am able to take him on car rides and to the office, and he loves meeting new people. He wakes us up in the morning with cuddles and loud purrs, and keeps us entertained in the evenings with his wild games. I love him more than I could ever imagine!
